Asaba – A commercial farmer, Mr. Kingsley Eriyoma, has advised government at all levels to establish farm settlements across the country.
Eriyoma, whose farm is located in Ugbolu, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta, gave the advice in Asaba Delta State on Thursday in an interview with newsmen.
He said that establishing farm settlements across the country would help to create employment opportunities for the teeming youths.

Eriyoma, who is also a retired headmaster, said that apart from creating jobs, farm settlements would also serve as training base for youths, who are interested in farming.
He also stressed the need for the government to invest in agriculture by providing improved seedlings and tractors for farmers to increase their farm yield.

He urged the government to provide storage facilities to enable farmers to check post-harvest losses, adding that lack of storage facilities had been a major challenge facing farmers in the country.
